the project
A new school for the French speaking community in Tehran. A place of learning and a refuge from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. A strong structure and a safe environment. A place of warmth, hearth, and sustainability; both in education and influencing the environment. A place to bloom, experience, grow, set your wings free and take flight.

the program
In short, a building to comfortably house about 370 students, their teachers, instructors, caretakers, and support staff. The structure should also meet the the educational and athletic needs of the student body, while maximizing the use of its urban setting and push limits within the confines of the local codes.

the direction
The project needs to not only address the day-to-day needs of an active school under international standards, but also act as a beacon of learning, a french ambassador in Tehran, all the while being sensitive towards the local populace’s traditions and culture, while balancing its public persona with the privacy needs of its occupants and stakeholders.
